Young children, not toddlers, will find this toy fun. What I noticed was that the leash plug in area can come a bit loose which prevents the kitty from walking. Other functions continue to function. My cats found it fascinating. They were not scared of it nor did they try to kill or dismember the toy. The ‘can of tuna’ has a bell in it. Three years seems age appropriate. The plug-in is the only feature that may be an issue, or maybe it is an isolated problem with the kitty I received, but young kids are notoriously impatient and may get frustrated if the leash attachment plug needs some jiggling on a regular basis.

I got this walking talking cat toy for my 2 and a half year old. We have two cats that she loves to play with but they dont always want to play as long as she does. I thought this would be perfect for her.
It takes three AA batteries. I like that she can use it with or without the "leash" and it has plenty of cute little accessories for the cat.
It is very soft and the size is perfect. The only thing I dont like is that it is pretty loud and will likely get annoying after a while. Other than that I think it's a really cute pretend cat toy!

This is our second electronic cat purchase. We received the grey model first and our five year old twins loved it, so we got the brown cat model so they could each have their own cat. This newer model does appear improved. It reacts faster and more easily than the first model we purchased. Additionally, the new model does not come with a collar. (Another plus, as the collar broke off the grey cat within days.) The product appears to be improved all around. It's more responsive and they removed the weakest accessory leaving you with more durable toddler friendly options.

Adorable toy cat. My 9 year old child is very happy with her. I was surprised by the accessories, they seem to be more unique and better quality than some of the toys in the stores. The cat walks short distances and makes meowing sounds. Did need three AA batteries. Cute!
